Material Topics Identification Process
Zuoying Armed Forces General Hospital adopted the GRI 3: Material Topics (2021) standard issued by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and referenced industry-specific standards from the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) to guide its materiality assessment process. This systematic approach was used to identify sustainability topics that have significant impacts on both hospital operations and stakeholders.

By aligning these international frameworks with the Hospital’s operational direction and stakeholder concerns, a structured materiality assessment process was implemented. Through this systematic approach, 9 material topics were identified as the core focus of the Hospital’s sustainability strategy: Net Zero and Energy Management, Innovation and Smart Healthcare, Occupational Health and Safety, Medical Quality and Patient Safety, Physician–Patient Relationship, Talent Attraction and Retention, Community Care and Social Engagement, Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation, and Information Security Management.
